Nunhead Cemetery: a preliminary invertebrate survey
BY RICHARD A. JONES F.R.E.S., F.L.S.
An invertebrate survey of Nunhead Cemetery, Southwark, in south-east London, was carried out during 2007. Field visits were combined with records collected during several years of casual visits to the cemetery. A total of 207 species were recorded with many unusual and scarce insects found.
This survey of the Nunhead’s invertebrate interest was commissioned by the London Borough of Southwark, as part of its remit to understand and manage the wildlife of the cemetery.
